As part of a course in Geometric Processing at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona I got to study different methods for smoothing and in other ways filter 3D-meshes. In the attached video some of the smoothing algorithms that I implemented are presented on a 3D-mesh, representing a frog with high-frequency noise on the surface of the mesh.
The program has been created in QT (C++) and the 3D-meshes provided by the university. Flat shading is used to make sure that the high-frequency noise can be seen. The GLM library is used as well as the Eigen library which provides nice functions for matrix and vector computations.
